From School Library Journal:
PreS-These 99 Bible stories are told simply with words that young children will be able to understand. Mimi Black reads the tales in an engaging voice that draws listeners in. The collection begins with the Old Testament creation story. Children will learn about Noah and the Flood, Jonah and the Whale, Moses and the Ten Commandments, and David and Goliath. The tales come alive in these tellings and may also hold the attention of older listeners. The New Testament begins with the Angel's visit to Mary when she was told she would be the mother of our Lord. Children are taught that Jesus's stories will tell them how to live for God and that, although Jesus was tempted by Satan, he always obeyed God. The CD concludes with Timothy learning about God at his grandmother's knee. This can serve as an introduction for young listeners.-Mary Lee Bulat, Harwinton Public Library, CTα(c) Copyright 2013.
