About the Authors

Dr. Hans Kraus was a world renowned expert on back ailments and sports medicine. He served on many notable committees, including the President’s Council on Youth Fitness. Dr. Kraus also spent three years as President John F. Kennedy’s back specialist and was a world-renowned mountain climber. He lived in New York City prior to his passing in 1996.

Melanie Trice studied linguistics, studio art, and creative writing at New York University. Within the next few years, she hopes to start her own photography business, perform stand-up comedy, write a bestselling novel, and learn to be more realistic.
