About the Author
English clergyman JEREMY TAYLOR (1613-1667) was sometimes called the "Shakespeare of the Divines" for his artistic use of language. Among his most popular works are A Discourse of the Liberty of Prophesying (1646) and Discourse of the Nature, Offices and Measures of Friendship (1657).
