Synopsis
Pete Watson was happily married, had three kids and a mortgage. His life in Birmingham, Alabama, could not have been more normal. But all that was about to change. Watson, a veteran parole officer for the City of Birmingham, never expected to be so affected by the murder of his newest parolee, Freddie 'Jonesy' Jones, the brother of Watson's success-story parolee, Earl Stallings. But from the moment Jonesy's body is dumped on his grandmother's front porch, something about the case bothers Watson--even more so when the detective working the case declares it open and shut immediately.
