About the Author
Jerry Burkhart has taught and learned mathematics with gifted students for over 20 years. He has degrees in physics, mathematics, and math education from University of Colorado, Boulder, and Minnesota State University, Mankato. Jerry also speaks, consults, and offers professional development on meeting gifted students' needs in mathematics.

The explorations are not easy, but they offer a great opportunity for students to step outside of their math comfort zone and grow as mathematical thinkers.
