Victoria A. Fletcher has lived her entire life in Damascus, Virginia. She attended Virginia Intermont College where she received her B.A. in Education. She later attended Tusculum College and received her M.A. in Education. She was a teacher in the Washington County Virginia Schools for 30 years before retiring. She is now the church secretary for First Baptist Church in Damascus, Virginia. She has worked in the Children 2 Department (grades 3-5), taught the 5th and 6th graders in VBS, and directed the Children's Choir for more than 30 years. Her interests include writing (of course), reading, Bible study, computers, music, board games, and puzzle books. She began writing when she was 13 years old when she began writing poetry. Several of her poems have been published in poetry anthologies. She is hoping the Bible stories inside will be a source of enjoyment for many children through the ages. Enjoy reading Emery Reid was a former student of Victoria A. Fletcher. He and his wife Cathy and two daughters, Lucy and Lydia live in southwest Virginia. He is a high school history teacher.
