This novel is based on a legend coming straight out of Port Saint Lucie, Florida. I've heard people laugh and say it's only a legend. But there is always some truth behind a legend, isn't there? Please read on...I beg the question if it is only a legend, why is it so many Port Saint Lucie Police Officers have gone out of their way to speak to me? Story after story I heard of their personal experiences that happened around the tree and sometimes the surrounding area. Some laughed it off, others didn't look comfortable telling me what it was they were saying. I believe in my heart that so many versions of this legend are around is because it was a tactic employed to confuse people from getting the truth.
