Pride and Prejudice and Kitties is my first book for adults, and also the first to express my totally wacky sense of humor. The idea of cats playing human roles, especially in a great novel, struck me and my co-author, Deborah Guyol, as delightfully absurd, precisely because it is so improbable. Cats are, always and incorrigibly, themselves. The book years to come to fruition, dozens of agents, thousands of cat photographs, and many long days "kittfying" chapters from Pride and Prejudice.
