From the Author:
Writing this series has been utterly fascinating. For each mission I have to delve much deeper into history. I have to play "What if" with major events in history. What if something different happened on that particular date in that particular year? How much would it change our timeline? Of course, the threat is that too much change, and we cease to exist. How does the Time Patrol stop the change? But even before that, how, in 24 hours, does the Agent figure out what the Shadow is up to? What it plans to change? Because often what appears to be the most obvious thing to change that day, turns out not to be the target at all.
The other interesting aspect is arcing the character of the Time Patrol across these books, especially as they are affected by their missions. With six missions, and my six Agents, all of whom came out of the same Nightstalker team, it's but fun to follow them as they grow and develop: yes, characters, once created, take over the story. I hope you enjoy the series as much as I've enjoyed writing it!
