About the Author:
Ron Berman, author of 16 Young Adult books, honed his tennis skills on the hardcourts of Los Angeles, California, where he was born and raised. After playing in the juniors, he went on to compete at a varsity level in both high school and college. He also served as a teaching pro for a number of years. In THE KID FROM COURAGE, Ron showcases his familiarity with the world of junior tennis while demonstrating a knack for creating memorable characters and engaging storylines. Drawing on personal experiences, he has fused his lifelong love of the game with an inspiring story that encourages personal as well as physical growth on and off the tennis court.
