Robert W. MacCormack is Professor Emeritus of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Stanford University. He previously taught at the University of Washington and was Senior Staff Scientist at the NASA Ames Research Center. He is the recipient of the ICASE/NASA Langley Research Center Theodorsen Lectureship Award, the AIAA Fluid Dynamics Award and the NASA Medal for Exceptional Scientific Achievement. He is a Member of the National Academy of Engineering and a Fellow of the AIAA.
