From the Author:
I have been working on Exodus since the 1970s. The poems in Exodus reflect the changes that all of us experience as we go through life, mature, and grow. Every poem has the perspective of a different character in the Bible. I try to empathize with each individual and to convey his or her worldview. My book is part of a long tradition of writers who have updated Biblical narratives for each new century.
