What if securing your family's legacy means risking everything—including your life?
In this captivating biblical fiction, award-winning debut novel, discover the remarkable story of Nitzevet—called Bet by those closest to her—the forgotten woman behind Israel's most famous king. Set in ancient Bethlehem in about 1000 BC, Legacy unveils the dramatic events that led to the birth of King David and the incredible sacrifice his mother made to protect him.
A Story of Faith, Deception, and Divine Purpose
When young Bet marries the aging Jesse, her future seems secure. But tragedy strikes when she delivers a stillborn son, awakening Jesse's fear over his family's legitimacy. Since his grandmother Ruth was a Moabitess, Jesse questions whether God's wrath rests upon his house.

Award-winning author Anna Moore Bradfield has been spinning tales, exaggerating the truth, and flat-out lying almost as long as she could talk. Nowadays, she calls it fiction. She has contributed devotionals to The Secret Place, written articles for West Michigan Christian News, and was a regular contributor to the Norton-Lakeshore Examiner. She also enjoyed collaborating on anthologies The Transformation Project and Anchor in the Storm.
With her debut novel Legacy, Anna is thrilled to be the 2022 first-place recipient of the OASIS Awards sponsored by The Well Conference for Creatives. Anna expects that Legacy represents book one of a planned four-book series called The Lambswool Chronicles.
As one reader describes her work: "Anna's writing makes you want to grab onto something and hang on for dear life. You can hardly wait to turn the page to find out what happens next."
Aside from many other passions, Anna also loves reading and could tell you all you would ever want to know about the author Charlotte Bronte and her sisters Anne and Emily.
Anna came to know Christ as her savior at a very early age. He has been her guiding light through the most tumultuous years of her life. She gives all praise to God for any successes she might realize on this writing journey.
Anna Moore Bradfield has a passion for stirring spiritual appetites through characters of Scripture. She identifies the depth of her characters and finds them in situations not often revealed in Christian fiction. In the process, she travels to new depths within herself and appreciates the world around her in new and unique ways.
Born and raised in the Midwest, Anna loves the home she has built with her husband John and her fur baby Gus, in West Michigan. Her moments of greatest joy are hanging out with family. She also loves reading, crafting, sewing, gardening, baking, and tooling around on the family's pontoon boat.
