Dr. Claus Kühnel graduated from the Technical University of Dresden (D) in the field of information electronics. It followed by an education in biomedical engineering. 

He is responsible for the development of embedded systems for lab devices. 

In addition to these professional tasks, he has published numerous articles and books on microcontroller related issues. 

From magazine Elektronik he received the award "Product of the Year 2011" for the article "Arduino & Co" in 2012.
