About the Author
Kenneth L. Alford, PhD., is a professor of Church history and doctrine. Ken earned a bachelor of arts degree in political science from BYU, a master of arts in international relations from the University of Southern California, a master of computer science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a PhD. in computer science from George Mason University.
Craig K. Manscill, PhD., is an associate professor of Church history and doctrine at BYU. He has served as a religious educator for forty years. He received his undergraduate degree at Weber State College and his master’s and Ph.D. from Brigham Young University. His current research focuses on the Hyrum Smith Papers project and Pacific LDS history.
Mary Jane Woodger, Ed.D., is a professor of Church history and doctrine at Brigham Young University. After obtaining a master of education degree at Utah State University, she received from BYU a doctor of education degree in educational leadership. She is the author or coauthor of more than a dozen books.
