From the Inside Flap:
A comprehensive, practical regimen that anyone above 40 can use to prevent memory loss, and to treat memory loss if it has already developed. D. P. Devanand, M.D., one of the world's leading researchers and clinicians in the field of memory, draws on the latest findings to offer a practical, prescriptive program to keep your mind in shape and stave off memory loss. The pro-memory program is individualized for people in different age and gender categories, and classified separately for baby boomers who wish to prevent age-related memory loss, and for people who already suffer from mild memory loss. The program is based on a multi-pronged approach: evaluating memory with simple memory tests; starting a healthy pro-memory diet and exercise plan; identifying causes and treatments for many common causes of mild memory loss; medications (prescription and alternative) that prevent and treat memory loss; and putting it all together in a comprehensive, individualized memory program.
