His articles appeared in such sporting publications asField & Stream, Sports Afield, Outdoor Life, and Fly Fisherman, and his fine bookTricks That Take Fish (Skyhorse, 2012) was hailed as one of the most practical, down-to-earth manuals ever written about fishing. Blaisdell died in 1985.
