“Finding ways to stay focused during the Lenten journey and live the Church’s call to prayer, fasting, and almsgiving fully can be a challenge. In Lent with Saint Teresa of Calcutta, Heidi Saxton offers an effective and encouraging tool. The daily meditations are filled with warm, personal storytelling, insightful looks at the life and spirituality of Mother Teresa, and practical applications for your own life. This devotional book will lead you to a deeper experience of the Lenten journey and Christ’s merciful love, and leave you readily waiting for the fullness of resurrection joy when Easter comes.” —Colleen Mitchell, author, Who Does He Say You Are?
“This Lent, be instantly drawn into Christ’s presence as you experience daily devotionals inspired by Scripture and the humble, beautiful life of Mother Teresa. This Lenten devotional, which is intended to be used year after year, not only invites you on an intimate, daily walk with God, but it inspires you to become more like St. Teresa and to gain the courage to rely more upon God as she did throughout her life. Lent is a time for spiritual growth. Lent with Saint Teresa of Calcutta and its glimpse into the heart of a modern-day saint helps to produce the fertile ground for the seeds of faith to blossom.” —Kate Wicker, author, Getting Past Perfect: How to Find Joy and Grace in the Messiness of Motherhood
“Heidi Saxton has done it again. How better to draw insight and grace from the lectionary readings than to see them through the eyes and life of St. Teresa. Walk along Mother’s footsteps in Calcutta with Heidi and welcome ‘Jesus in distressing disguise’ into your heart and experience a powerful transformation this Lent.” —Bear Woznick, author, Deep Adventure and host of EWTN’s “Deep Adventure Radio”
