Review

As a pioneer in intercultural communication since the 1960s, I have watched the development and growth of the structural foundation that I and fellow pioneers have laid down. I now turn over the field to Dr. Jia, who has put together an anthology of the new players in intercultural communication, which tracks where we currently are on a global level.
--Larry Samovar, Ph.D. (Purdue University), Emeritus Professor San Diego State University

As a veteran instructor of this course myself, I find this anthology useful, innovative, and indispensable for the coursework. It unmasks a great number of academic, critical, and epistemological lacunae in this field. Intercultural Communication is truly global, intercultural, and state-of-the-art. It caters to the needs of undergraduate courses that emphasize backgrounders, particularly related to emergent political blocs, such as the BRICS countries. This anthology also fulfills what grad seminars pursue in the way of theoretical and methodological innovations within the discipline.
--SHI Anbin, Professor and Associate Dean, School of Journalism and Communication, Tsinghua University, China
