It matters less what you say and more what people hear.
Communication is the foundation of leadership, cultures, and relationships. It's at the core of being more fully yourself. Yet communication is one of the primary challenges of our time at work, at home, and online. Even though we have more tools at our fingertips than ever before, we still struggle to be heard and connect with others.
Honestly Speaking will revolutionize the way you lead, love, and live your life by shifting the way you communicate. Through a simple change in mindset and easy-to-use frameworks for life's most common scenarios, you'll be able to find more common ground with those you interact with and communicate far better, with confidence and authenticity in any context.
In Honestly Speaking, Andrew Blotky shares lessons and tools developed through his years as a leader, teacher, coach, and friend. He's developed new, relatable tools to help you speak honestly with everyone in your life, from the teams you lead to the people you love.

"As the son of a journalist, I learned early on the power of clear communication. And as a senator, I was fortunate to have Andrew in my office to practice that credo. I am so pleased that Andrew has put his essential communications advice into a book that will help any reader cut through the cacophony in both their professional and personal lives to communicate well." --Senator Ron Wyden "Good communication is at the heart of leadership, and leaders at every level should be working on improving this critical skillset throughout their careers. Andrew Blotky's book offers powerful, practical tools for leveling up communication and demonstrates how authenticity, clarity, empathy, and connection can be cultivated at work and in every other aspect of our lives." --Ben Rattray, founder and CEO, Change.org "Communicating effectively in this environment requires an ever-evolving set of tools. These tips can be used in personal and professional settings-and everything in between!" --Eric Schultz, former White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary and special assistant to President Obama "Honestly Speaking has powerful, practical, and solid advice on communicating with confidence. Andrew's expertise will change the way you think about leading at work and loving those who matter most." --Keith Rabois, technology entrepreneur, executive, and investor, general partner, Founders Fund "Andrew's book provides a powerful framework for communicating, because it flips the focus away from pushing a message to connecting with those around you in more meaningful ways. There are useful, credible tips in here that are based on those years of experience and can help you shorten your own learning process with regards to culture, communication, and authenticity." --Mike Rognlien, author of This is Now Your Company: A Culture Carrier's Manifesto "Andrew's ability to weave the ancient practices of yoga with modern day psychology creates a powerful language for approaching our modern times." --Janet Stone, Janet Stone Yoga
