About the Author
Billy T. Ogletree, PhD, CCC-SLP, is the Catherine Brewer Professor of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Western Carolina University. His research interests include the communicative abilities and needs of persons with servere disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders. Dr. Ogletree's AAC experiences included service provision in several settings (schools, hospitals, and university clinics), AAC instruction at the graduate level, reviewer and associate editor roles with the AAC journal, related publications in several journals and book series, and a term as AAC program coordinator for the 2012 annual conference of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Dr. Ogletree is an ASHA Fellow.
