About the Author

Lakshmanan, aka Lux Narayan, is a student of storytelling.

He loves the seas, skies, and mountains and is a scuba diver, pilot, and an avid hiker. His adult sons share his love for adventure. His wife and best friend, Tina, and their dog, a rescue from Hurricane Maria, partake in all ground level adventures.

Lux's talk at TED's Main Stage on "Lessons from two-thousand obituaries" was viewed millions of times, featured on the TED homepage, and NPR's TED radio hour with Guy Raz. He is a student of improv and stand-up comedy and has performed at the Comedy Cellar in New York.

A serial entrepreneur, he founded Unmetric, a social media analytics company that was acquired in 2019. Lux advises a few startups and nonprofits, is an independent board member at a public FinTech company, and in 2021, co-founded WordsWorth.ai

He is forever learning to type with all his fingers. This is his first book.

Lux divides his time between Basking Ridge, New Jersey, and Chennai and Shillong in India.
