In case you were wondering, the neighborhood hasn't always been as nice as it is today. Back in the early sixties, when Mr. and Mrs. Clinton got married, things were pretty run down. Almost all of the houses were in need of repairs and most of the store fronts were empty. Mr. and Mrs. Clinton rented an upstairs flat and during the first few years of their marriage Mr. Clinton worked as a newscaster, as a golfing instructor, and as a policeman. Prior to their marriage he had worked as a cook and had also worked in a dairy during which time he was engaged for awhile to a woman he worked with by the name of Jenny. In January of 1966 Mr. Clinton began a new career when he got a job in politics and Mrs. Clinton used part of his first paycheck to make a down payment on a small bungalow on Second Street that had been for sale for a long time. The new job lasted far beyond anyone's expectations and over the years they did very well financially. Mrs. Clinton knew that Mr. Clinton didn't like to work hard at anything. She also knew that he didn't know how to do anything. In fact, he truly did not know which end of a hammer was which.
