About the Author

If you're a parent of a thirteen or fourteen-year-old, then you know exactly how difficult it is to get your kids to read. Believe me, as a middle school teacher, I understand. As one of my students insisted this past school year, Mr. Baldwin, nobody reads! Reading is boring! I wouldn't be surprised if your kids, unless they were like me growing up, feel the same way.

The struggle to get our kids reading is real! That's why I wrote this book.

With this book, I set out to write a compelling story with compelling characters that my eighth-grade students would enjoy reading. When the book was released in May 2019, a handful of them immediately bought the book from Amazon and began reading it right away.

Unanimously, my own students enthusiastically stated, It was really good!
