Synopsis
ବ୍ୟାସକବି ଫକୀରମୋହନଙ୍କ କଥା-ପ୍ରତିଭାର ମହନୀୟ ଅବଦାନ ହେଉଛି ମାମୁ ଉପନ୍ୟାସ । ଏହା ତାଙ୍କର ତୃତୀୟ ଉପନ୍ୟାସ ଭାବରେ ପରିପକ୍ୱ ପ୍ରତିଭାର ଏକ ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ ନିଦର୍ଶନ । ଯେତେବେଳେ ଫକୀରମୋହନ ବାଲେଶ୍ୱରଠାରେ ବିତାଉଥିଲେ ନିଃସଙ୍ଗ ଜୀବନ ସେହି ସମୟରେ ସୃଷ୍ଟି ହୋଇଛି ମାମୁ । ୧୯୧୩ ମସିହାରେ ଯଦିଓ ଏହା ପ୍ରକାଶିତ, ତା'ର ଯଥେଷ୍ଟ ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଫକୀରମୋହନଙ୍କ ସ୍ରଷ୍ଟା ପ୍ରାଣରୁ ଏହାର ଆବିର୍ଭାବ ବୋଲି ମନେହୋଇଥାଏ । 'ଛ'ମାଣ ଆଠଗୁଣ୍ଠ' ଯଦିଓ ଯୋଜନାବଦ୍ଧ ଭାବରେ ରଚିତ ହୋଇ ନଥିଲା; ତଥାପି ତା'ର ସମ୍ବେଦନଶୀଳ ପ୍ରଭାବ ଠାରୁ ମାମୁ ଉପନ୍ୟାସ ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ ବିବେଚିତ ହୋଇ ନପାରେ । ତେବେ ଯିଏ ଲେଖିଛନ୍ତି ଛ'ମାଣ ଆଠଗୁଣ୍ଠ, ତାଙ୍କରି ଦ୍ୱାରା ହିଁ ସୃଷ୍ଟି ଲାଭ କରିଥିବା ମାମୁ ଯେ, ତାଙ୍କ ଆତ୍ମିକ ସତ୍ତାଠାରୁ ଭିନ୍ନ ହୋଇ ନ ପାରେ ଏହା ଯେକୌଣସି ପାଠକ ସ୍ୱୀକାର କରିବେ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ । ଏହି ଉପନ୍ୟାସରେ ଫକୀରମୋହନଙ୍କ ଭାଷାର ପରିଶୁଦ୍ଧତା, କଥାବସ୍ତୁ ଉପସ୍ଥାପନରେ ତାଙ୍କର ପରିକଳ୍ପନା ଓ ପରିଯୋଜନା ବାସ୍ତବିକ ଏକାନ୍ତ ସୁବିନ୍ୟସ୍ତ ।
