About the Authors

Rashmi Roul is one of the well-known figures of contemporary Odia literature. She has published seven novels and eight anthologies of short stories. Her book My Lost Village won the Odisha Sahitya Akademi Award in 2004. This novel has Bengali and Hindi renditions for the readers to relish its ethnic flavour. It is Wordsworthian in its style. The idyllic setting of the countryside appeals to the heart and soul of the individuals who grew up in the village's natural set-up and socio-cultural milieu.
