Toddler-Gr 1-This study board book includes 10 recipes, all with three ingredients or fewer. Each recipe is clearly laid out, with a title, ingredients list, and simple directions for assembly. The text is accompanied by a photo of each ingredient, the finished product, and a child enjoying the prepared recipe. One ingredient from each recipe is highlighted as a vocabulary word. A glossary defines words like dollop, mash, and spread, and includes a photo and written definition for each one. VERDICT This small volume packs a punch.
