Dr. Stanley Horton (1916-2014) was a theologian within the Pentecostal movement and the author of numerous books. He served as the editor for the Complete Biblical Library. He also served as the senior editorial advisor for the Modern English Version Bible released in 2014. He received his educational training at Los Angeles City College (A.A., 1935); University of California-Berkeley (B.S., 1937); Gordon College (M.Div., 1944); Harvard University (S.T.M., 1945); and Central Baptist Theological Seminary (Th.D., 1959). He was Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Bible and Theology at the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary (AGTS), where he taught from 1978-1991. Upon his retirement from teaching in 1991, he held the position of general editor of the Pentecostal Textbook Series Logion Press in Springfield until 2000. Stanley Horton has been recognized as the premier Pentecostal theologian.
Ralph W. Harris (1912-2004) A talented youth leader, pastor and editor, was full of the zest for life and had creative genius which helped to shape and mold the Assemblies of God for decades. At the age of 71, Harris took the overwhelming project that would bring great excitement to his life. He became executive editor for the Complete Biblical Library. This ambitious project entailed the coordination of authors and researchers from around the world. He oversaw translations into Swedish, Danish, Finnish and Dutch. The 38 volume project included a study Bible, a Bible dictionary, commentaries on various books of the Bible, and was fully illustrated with photographs and drawings. After his retirement in 1976, Harris remained active. His numerous trips to the Holy Land aided him in ultimately leading many trips to the Middle East as a tour director as well as writing numerous books about Bible lands
Thoralf Gilbrant (1919-2006) was a prominent figure in Norwegian Pentecostal circles. He was a prolific preacher and writer within Pentecostalism. Thoaralf Gilbrant was the chief founder and visionary of the Complete Biblical Library. Gilbrant was also highly respected in all the smaller Christian denominations in Norway. He was born 1919 as one of seven siblings. He grew up in Ryfylke and was, despite his youth repentance to active Christian faith at a Lutheran chapel one of the prominent Pentecostal figures in Norway. He was married to Tobine and together they had five children. He had a long career as an editor of the Pentecostal newspaper Korsets Victory. Gilbrant published a great many other works, including Study Bible, a Greek-Norwegian linear translation of the New Testament in five volumes in 1977 - 1982 . In the last ten years of his life Gilbrant published a number of books.
