Simply Sole to Soul puts a bit of humor on real topics and reminds us that no matter how serious the issue is at some point, we all have to realize we can't control that which we have no control. The book follows the journey of four women in life and the relationships that come about along the way. It's an analogy of men to shoes as they take a peek into their closets and they invite you to take the journey with them inside their closets whether it be a small closet or walk-in closet; it's a journey to find themselves spiritually, mentally, and emotionally. Get lost in the characters, and you may find yourself eventually relating to one in their journey from sole to soul as well as find your own.

I remember thinking my life was mine to make, mine to take and mine to forsake. I remember travelling down dark roads and when I saw light thought it was all me making it happen.....until the day I looked in the mirror. Envision yourself on the beaten path, falling off course, what does it take to get back...perseverance, determination but most of all Faith. On that dark road I lacked faith but I caught glimpses of hope and this is where the transition began. Balette Hines has not only lived life but has experienced it. A US Army disabled veteran and single mother, Balette suffers from a seizure disorder diagnosed during her military career, but with a vision, faith and determination she enrolled in college to complete her BS and MBA in 4 years even with severe medical setbacks. She believes everyone has a testimony through their life's experiences and from that there is not only knowledge to gain but also to share as well as a story. Balette is the youngest sibling of 4 girls, a native of Alexandria, LA but currently resides in San Antonio, TX with her son MJ and daughter LaKayla.
