Roberto Hart Ibáñez, jefe de un poderoso cártel mexicano de la droga, invita a Juan, un viejo amigo, a unirse al negocio. Juan y su grupo de sicarios se encargan de limpiar de enemigos el territorio por donde pasa su mercancía.
Él está enamorado de Brenda, una ex guerrillera nicaragüense, que trabaja primero para Tomasito Aranda, el Profeta, un contrabandista y líder espiritual, y luego para don Roberto, quien le brinda protección. En esta historia, el gobierno, la policía y los narcotraficantes forman una gran familia donde todos se ayudan y trabajan para que la droga colombiana llegue, desde la frontera sur de México, a Estados Unidos.
Luego de ser una guerrillera idealista, que luchó por los pobres, Brenda se convirtió en una famosa narcotraficante que elevó al máximo la Organización de don Roberto, llamada después El cártel de la Comandante Brenda.

Roberto Hart Ibáñez, head of a powerful Mexican drug cartel, invites Juan, an old friend, to join the business. Juan and his group of assassins are responsible for -cleaning- enemies in the territory where their merchandise passes.
He is in love with Brenda, a former Nicaraguan guerrilla leader, who works first for Tomasito Aranda, the Prophet, a smuggler and spiritual leader; and then for Don Roberto, who provides her with protection. In this story, the government, the police and the drug traffickers form a large family where everyone helps and works for the Colombian drug, from the southern border of Mexico, to the United States.
After being an idealistic guerrilla, who fought for the poor, Brenda became a famous drug trafficker who raised Don Roberto s Organization to the maximum and later on named it ... Commander Brenda's Cartel.

About the Author
Ricardo Pacheco Colín periodista y escritor. Estudió Economía en la UNAM y un diplomado en la SOGEM. Fue finalista en la terna para primer lugar en el Premio de Novela Nuevo León 88. Obtuvo el segundo lugar en el Premio Crónicas y Relatos de la Solidaridad en la Reconstrucción, a propósito de los sismos de 1985; en el que fungió como jurado Carlos Monsiváis.
Ha desempeñado cargos como: redactor de la sección Metropolitana del diario Excélsior, en el suplemento cultural El Búho. Editor y jefe de la sección de Cultura del diario La Crónica. Jefe de Redacción del periódico Voz Pública del periodista Francisco Huerta. Profesor de Periodismo en la SOGEM Jefe de Información y Difusión en la UAM Xochimilco. Jefe de Redacción en Editorial Grijalbo-Mondadori. Jefe de Atención a Medios de Comunicación en el INBA. En Selector ha publicado el libro Operación Los Pinos. Actualmente escribe para el diario El Economista.
Ricardo Pacheco Colin, journalist and writer. He studied economics at UNAM and a diploma in SOGEM. He was finalist in the shortlist for the first place in the Nuevo León 88 (New Novel Leon 88) novel award. He won second place in the Chronicles and Accounts in the Reconstruction Solidarity prize, regarding the earthquakes of 1985 in Mexico City; in which writer Carlos Monsiváis served as jury. He has held positions like: Editor of the Metropolitan section of the newspaper Excelsior, in the cultural supplement El Búho. Editor and head of the culture section of the newspaper La Crónica.
Editor-in-Chief of the Voz Pública newspaper owned by journalist Francisco Huerta. Professor of journalism at the SOGEM, chief of Information and dissemination at the UAM Xochimilco (Metropolitan Autonomous Univeristy). Editor-in-Chief at Editorial Grijalbo-Mondadori. Head of media attention at the INBA. At Sélector, he has published the book Operación Los Pinos. He currently writes for the newspaper El Economista.
