About this title

From the Author

It is my goal with this book to be able to answerthe most common and pressing questions that you may have, many of the questionscourtesy of my daughter. Most of the questions she asked were questions Iwondered about myself - before I received my nursing education. I wanted to make sure my daughter was educated in the ways of the female body and was never ashamed or embarrassed by this entirely natural process. However, I was astonished by the lack of available resources and practical guides out there for young women, mature women, daughters, and mothers alike. There was nothing that demystified the physical and psychological aspects of why we get periods or hormones and the roles they play during the menstruation cycle. This is the main reason that I was driven to write the book. I hope you enjoy the book.
