Honeybee colonies are made up of a cluster of many worker bees. The size of the colony dictates whether there are a handful or tens of thousands of worker bees. These worker bees are sexually immature females. Drones and a number of drone bees present can range the same according to the colony size, and this segment of the colony population are sexually developed male bees. Each colony includes one queen bee who is sexually mature as well. The queen bee has one purpose, and that is laying eggs. Bees group over numerous wax combs and within the cells or holes of these combs is where honey and pollen are stored.
