He taught human anatomy in medical school and AP biology in public schools for 12 years, before retiring in 2007. Vernon has traveled to all the continents except Antarctica and learned the wonderful things the good people around the globe have to offer. Visiting Uganda and sharing time with wild gorillas was especially thrilling, and seeing the magical wonder and diversity of New Zealand have a special place in his heart.
