You're a business leader. An executive.
You speak the language of finance. Of operational excellence. Of marketing and customer opportunities. And more than anything, your work is about producing revenues and increasing profits.
Your training department, meanwhile, speaks the language of instructional processes and design strategies. They use phrases like "waterfall development," "needs analysis," and "learning objectives." But really, they want the same thing as you – effective training that provides the strongest return on their effort and ideas.
This disconnect is a big problem in many organizations, because training is one of few functions that affects every part of your company. When business strategy and training are out of alignment, resources get wasted. The bottom line suffers. And, worst of all, people stop improving.
In UPTRAIN, Dr. Richard Sites, an expert in transforming training into operational excellence, provides a unique and sensible strategy (The Power Formula) that bridges the divide between the executive and the trainer. It's a handbook for business leaders who want to maximize the power of training, improve the performance of their employees, and supercharge the company's bottom line.
