Volume II of Physics: An Integrated Approach continues the development of introductory physics including waves, electromagnetic theory, optics and modern physics. Designed around the results of Physics Education Research, this text is meant to be a springboard giving students a fundamental understanding of topics and preparing them for further exploration in the classroom. In addition, many topics are explicitly touched on throughout the semester to give students a feel for how seemingly disparate ideas in physics are integrated into the whole science. Although written with the introductory physics sequence at the United States Coast Guard Academy in mind, this text should provide a strong introduction to physics to anyone interested in a basic understanding of the field.
