When I first started stocking my pantry, I spent an extra $5 each week on items for the pantry. Start slowly and steadily increase your pantry items. If you are making rice, make double the amount and freeze the extra. If you are browning ground beef, cook a double batch and freeze the extra meat. Start slowly and steadily increase your freezer meals based upon your freezer space, time and money.
