About the Author

Hope Foster Britt is a native of Northern Virginia, and holds degrees from Gordon College (BA History) and Asbury Theological Seminary (MA Spiritual Formation), with a particular focus on Celtic Christianity and spiritual community development. Hope was part of the founding faculty of a training program for Christ-centered spiritual directors in Northern Virginia, and has been increasingly involved as a retreat speaker and discipleship teacher. As a lifelong learner, Hope is a devoted student of God, of humans, and of nature; and as a pre-school teacher, her favorite co-learners are five.
In 2013, Hope realized a life-long dream with the founding of Caol Ait ['kweel awtch']-The Thin Place: a community dedicated to promoting the development of an ecumenical lifestyle of spiritual formation and encouraging the wholehearted pursuit of a relationship with the living Triune God. Since the pandemic, the focus of Caol Ait has expanded from offering opportunities for day retreats to promoting this reimagined life of following in the footsteps of Jesus throughout the world.
