Robin L. Flanigan is a national award-winning journalist and author. After receiving a bachelor's degree in language and literature from St. Mary's College of Maryland, she was a newsroom reporter for eleven years, winning four national awards. While on staff at the Democrat and Chronicle she received the Dean Gysel award for best newsroom writer as judged by outside editors. In 2005 Robin became a full-time freelance writer for magazines, newspapers, websites, and marketing collateral. Her journalism work has been featured in People magazine, USA Today, US Airways magazine, and elsewhere. Her essays have been published in The Sun, Motherwell, and other literary magazines and anthologies. Rochester: High Performance for 175 Years, her coffee-table book on the city of Rochester, New York, was published in 2009. Robin was part of the 2016 cast of "Listen to Your Mother," a curated series of live readings about motherhood, and has been interviewed on several podcasts about the writing process. Heather S. Jones is a professor of fine arts at Genesee Community College in Upstate New York. Her education includes a BFA from Alfred University, where she concentrated in K-12 art education, and an MFA from Rochester Institute of Technology. An avid explorer of innovation, she recently received the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Scholarship and Creative Activities. Heather is co-founder of Good Nature Press, an educational publishing company. As a professional artist and the owner of GlassFeather Studio, she creates original paintings, sculptures, and illustrations.
