Wiggles and tail wags. A dog's unconditional love of family, walking a similar path as we all are in this short life.

Misty's Tale is a story inspired by true events of an army family and the dog they rescued from an animal shelter. It's the tale of the dog's journey after being saved from death by a promise given long-ago by a mom and dad to their two children. It was ultimately fulfilled ten years later. It shares fragments of each family member's journey as they live their lives. And, it peeks into obstacles the family encountered and the perseverance they had to overcome them. The story recalls the happiness of youth and reveals the challenges that come with aging.

We tend to take things for granted in life such as our youth, time, and health. When we are young, we believe we are invincible and that we have all the time in the world to do whatever we want.

However, as we grow older, life tends to throw more obstacles in our path. Hopefully, we gain knowledge and wisdom from these encounters to better prepare us as we walk our path. Life is full of illusions, too. Tomorrow is indeed an unknown, and though we plan for the future, we cannot know its outcome.

Most people have heard the adage that life is too short. How true it is, which means we should make the most of our days, be grateful for life, and cherish our memories. Before we know it, time will have passed us by, and we will ask ourselves: Where did all the days and years go?

Sometimes, we live life in the moment. We don't realize how precious those minutes, some the highlights in our lives, will be until we reminisce about them in our later years.

Misty's Tale is about a family's eternal love and how they enjoyed the good times, endured the sad seasons, and kept the faith.
