KAY JENNINGS was born near Oregon's south coast in a small town not unlike Port Stirling. She currently lives in Portland, Oregon, with her husband, Steve, a technology entrepreneur. After a background in corporate communications spanning such varied industries as tourism, healthcare, and sports, Shallow Waters is her first novel. In addition to enjoying writing (and reading) mysteries, Kay is also an avid gardener, earning a Master Gardener certificate. She has traveled extensively worldwide, and plans to continue pursuing dream trips. A sports nut, she follows college and pro football, the NBA, golf, and tennis.
