Julian Talbot is an internationally recognized risk management practitioner, author, and executivewith nearly four decades of experience across government, defense, industry, and internationaloperations. His career has included senior leadership and advisory roles in enterprise riskmanagement, national security, critical infrastructure, technology, and complex operationalenvironments across five continents. He has served as Chief Risk Officer of AeroSafe, Head ofSecurity for Austrade's international network, Senior Risk Adviser to the Australian Departmentof Health, and in senior security and risk roles in the resources sector. He was lead author ofthe Security Risk Management Body of Knowledge, co-authored with Miles Jakeman and publishedby Wiley in 2009, and has authored approximately 20 books on risk management, security, andrelated disciplines. He holds a Master of Risk Management, is a Fellow of the Risk ManagementInstitution of Australasia and the Institute of Strategic Risk Management, and received theAustralian Security Medal in 2014.
