Peter Alexander is a professor of sociology and a director of the Centre for Sociological Research at the University of Johannesburg. Marcelle C. Dawson is a lecturer in sociology at the University of Johannesburg. Meera Ichharam is a research associate at the Centre for Sociological Research at the University of Johannesburg.
