Bisous is the first volume in the Jumbo Jones series, and it sure knows how to set the tone. This out-of-the-ordinary short story book displays beautiful art illustrations associated with the literature.
In this particular case, readers can judge the book by its cover. Fantasy, fiction, science, and reality are all present here. Readers get to explore different subjects in this fantastical tale, but most interestingly—and here is the kicker—they will feel like they are somehow part of the story.
In the form of letters, readers capture an exchange between two different life forms. Jumbo writes to a nonhuman friend, and after giving him a short recap on where we stand today in our evolution as a human species, he respectfully asks for some advice. Unsurprisingly, the response sounds strange since its sense of reality is at a different level of existence. Inevitably, their level of consciousness take centre stage.
This book is intentionally light, but it packs a serious punch way above its weight. Our imagination can bring us into areas we did not know existed. From this point onward, familiarity might never look the same.

I, Mathieu Poulin, born June 9, 1980 in Canada, established my residence in the United States of America in my early twenties. I always had a passion for reading. Was I born with it or was it seeded in my soul at a very young age? I remember my mother bringing us-my sister, my two brothers, and me-to the public library each Tuesday night where we could collect enough material to hopefully last a week. I was eating books, hundreds of books, and sometimes I had to borrow from my siblings to make it to the following Tuesday night. This was able to bring me so much joy and appreciation for reading. When a new book was released and made available, boy! We were jumping on it.I first started by reading comic books-between the public library and the school library, I was able to go through complete series in no time. Then I found an interest in fiction thrillers and science books. At a young age, I remember putting a world atlas on my Christmas list. Back then, the cost was fifty dollars. I still find myself reading it at times. I love reading and learning new things and books are just the ticket. Now here I am, writing books, as was in the cards all along.I thank you all for your support.Best regards, Mathieu Poulin
