About the Author

DAVID BURGESS-WISE is a distinguished motoring historian and author with a special connection with Ford and Dagenham. He joined the company's award-winning magazine Ford Times in 1972 and later worked in Ford's British and European press offices. He is well known for his writings in Automobile Quarterly, Autocar and the Daily Telegraph. He has written many books on the automotive industry.
