About the Author

W Huang is one of the very few players in the commodity finance market with the depth of knowledge to pull together such a complete work. His experience as both a current Banker, and Professor allows him to explore the subject from more than one perspective. He is currently working as director of Trade and Commodity Finance in Rabobank, has got his MA (Economics) in China and MA (Asia Studies) in Japan. His PhD was linked to his research project in Erasmus University Rotterdam which ex-Mees Pierson sponsored, and he joined the bank thereafter. A career banker starting from Bank Mees and Hope, Mees Pierson, Fortis and now Rabo bank, he has been working in the business line of emerging markets and commodity finance since 1990. With his multi-discipline and multi-cultural education, Dr. W. Huang is one of the few experts active both as a practitioner in commodity finance and as a lecturer and trainer for banking.
