Author Biography
Jessica Smyrl has had an interest in managing stress since 2006 when she studied for a Diploma in Stress Management which gave an insight into how to handle and deal with stress effectively.
She is a qualified nurse and midwife and gained a BA degree in Social Sciences and Art at the Open University. Whilst working in the NHS she studied for an MBA at Glasgow University.
She worked in the NHS and now runs health and wellbeing training and consultancy, YSM Solutions which is based in Glasgow. Her initial interest was stress within the workplace and stress in carers and this has led to the development of health and wellbeing training and consultancy company in 2009. Specialising in stress risk management, training, resilience, health coaching and wellbeing. Her current role is as a Consultant and Trainer and she is passionate about helping to reduce stress within the workplace and everyday life.
“Feel Great: How to Manage Stress and Enjoy Life” was written by Jessica as she found that many of the issues and problems which she had when working had not changed. Most of these issues are still extremely challenging for people today, so she felt that a self-help book could give some support and much needed help to all who read it.
