This is a book about how environmental scientist can integrate remote sensing and GIS in their research. It will allow readers to get started with the application of remote sensing as well as GIS and to understand its potential and limitations. About the Author

Martin Wegmann has a PhD in remote sensing focusing on time-series analysis on land cover change and fragmentation in Africa. He teaches for more than 10 years courses in remote sensing analysis esp. for biodiversity and conservation. Bridging the gap between remote sensing and applied ecology or geography is his prime interest.
