Synopsis
تدور أحداث هذه الرواية التي تقع في ٢٥٤ صفحة في العاصمة بغداد، وإحدى الدول العربية المجاورة للعراق بعد احتلال بغداد عام ٢٠٠٣، حيث يعيش الأبطال حالة من الإلتباس بين هموم الحاضر وذكريات الماضي، الذي يفرض نفسه على كل تفاصيل يومياتهم. بأسلوب يجمع بين الواقعية والخيال، الذي يتخذ أشكالا متعددة من السحرية إلى التأويل الفيزيائي للعوالم المتوازية يمضي الأبطال في رحلتهم لاقتراح حياة ممكنة. الرواية ليست امتدادا لأحداث " ساعة بغداد" رواية الكاتبة الأولى، وإنما هي امتداد زمني لشخصيات جديدة، وظروف مختلفة، وأمكنة متباعدة بين جسرالجمهورية حيث مدرسة راهبات التقدمة العريقة، ومحلة الاعظمية أهم أحياء بغداد القديمة.
