Synopsis
Take off on brrrilliant new adventures in the frozen Viking ice-mines of Chilblain! In 'Snowmageddon', the dragons and riders of Berk set out to help a Viking settlement under seige, only to find the grizzled Chief Hagar Frostbeard doesn't take kindly to dragons! In 'Thaw Fleet', sudden melting snow means sleds are running too fast down the Ice Canal, causing big problems for the Vikings! Can Hiccup and his friends find a way to help the people of Chilblain?

About the Author
Simon Furman is a comic book writer, particularly associated with a number of notable Transformers comics for Marvel UK, Marvel US, Dreamwave, and most recently, IDW. He also wrote the final episode of Beast Wars: Transformers cartoon, the Transformers Ultimate Fan Guide, and several convention exclusive comics and novellas. His first published work appeared in 1984 in Fleetway's weekly comic, Scream! issue 3, writing the opening episode of "Terror of the Cats". He currently writes Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Transformers for Titan Magazines in the UK and the US Transformers comic line published by IDW.
Iwan Nazif is a hugely talented Malaysian artist who is providing stunning artwork on the Dragons range of books.
Arianna Florean is an Italian artist, who has colored series such as GI Joe: Cobra, GI Joe: Origins, and Jericho. A talented artist and cartoonist, Arianna lives and works in Rome, Italy.

Gr 3 Up—Based on the film How To Tame Your Dragon, this entertaining collection contains three stories from the third and fourth "Riders of Berk" graphic novel digests. In "Ice," teen Vikings go on a hunt when Astrid's dragon, Stormfly, turns up missing. They end up traveling the icy Northland seas and invading an enemy camp. In "Litter Sitter," Snotlout is on monstrous nightmare litter duty. He is soon chasing baby dragons that are eating everything in sight. The last tale, "The Stowaway, finds an unexpected new arrival to the Dragon Academy. His name is Hroar and appears to be brave, bold, and popular with everyone except Hiccup, who suspects that Hroar is not what he seems. The artwork comes alive on each page. Readers are continuously reminded that the cold land of Berk offers warmth and a place to expect the unexpected. Glossy, action-packed pages with various perspectives keep readers wanting more.
