About the Author:
Anais was born in a country wheat-belt town in Western Australia. When she was eight years old, her family bought another farming property, this time in the north east of the state. Her brothers left school in the city and went to work on the farm with their father. Anais lived in Perth with her mother and sister, however they visited at every opportunity in an endeavour to spend as much time as possible with the whole family. During her early twenties, she married and over the next few years welcomed her own children into the family. Anais attended University and graduated with a degree in primary school teaching where she travelled the state as part of her teaching interests. She retired from teaching after 20 years and returned to the farm full-time where she realized how embedded her love for the land and family is.
